[WHISPER;]

yellow eyes darted left and right, tail flicked nervously. aiyana hated being in tight spaces and here she was stuck in a cave until the storm stopped. she growled and narrowed her eyes. it wasn't even a real storm, there was no rain, that wouldn't have bothered her one bit. it's the lightning that bothered her. she shook her head and stood up, stretching before stepping out of the cave slowly. she took a deep breath, ahh open spaces. she started running, as fast as she could. her paws leaving marks in the earth. she ran towards the lake, her senses alert in case someone or something decided to sneak up on her.

she slowed when she got closer, now that she was out of the stupid cave she could think. she stopped and drew in a deep breath, ears raised. there! she spotted a doe by the lake, drinking water, completely oblivious. she smirked. crouching down, she crept forward, her belly barely above the ground. she unsheathed her claws and crept closer, until she was a few feet away. launching herself over the ferns and onto the doe, she bit and scratched it's neck. it fell to the ground with a grunt of defeat. aiyana finished it off and sat beside her kill, proud of herself.

she didn't eat, she was at her full point, which wasn't full at all. instead she would take it back to the pack. she drug it into the bushes and wedged it between two rocks so it would be easy for anything else to get out without her knowing. she dipped her head happily and went to the edge of the water, bending her neck and lapping at the water. she perked her ears when a twig snapped. another one snapped. she turned and looked up, eyes narrowed and teeth bared. "who's there?" she growled and waited for who it was to show themselves.

blackhawk aimlessly wandered through the forest, loving how beautiful the lightning looked, flashing brilliantly across the sky, the thunder shaking the trees and and the wind making them look alive. the only thing that it was missing was the refreshing, calming rain. oh how he loved the storms. the silence the seemed to come before them he found relaxing and the noise of the rain usually lulled him to sleep.
as the storm passed, he continued to walk and sniff the air which smell fresh from the lightning. suddenly that fresh smell was replaced by the metallic smell of blood and blackhawk was instantly alert and slowly crept to the edge of the forest, cursing his massive size as he step on twig after twig. as he neared the edge, he smelt the scent of a wolf and calmed a bit as he appear right after hearing the wolf ask who was there.
as blackhawk walked out he tried to lower himself as to show he was no threat "my name is blackhawk, i am of the reaper pack like you. i mean no harm" even with lower his head he still towered over everything and with the sun shining on his pure black coat, seemed to absorb the light.

aiyana looked at the male, blackhawk. he was huge! pure black. nervousness flickered her bright yellow eyes for a moment. then he said he was part of her pack. she relaxed her muscles and sheathed her claws. but her ears were perked, still alert for anything else. she nodded," i am aiyana." she walked cautiously towards the male and sniffed his shoulder, which was where her nose came to. she nodded and looked up at him, she hated doing that. thunder rolled and lightning struck and she stood there staring at him, studying him. this was what she did. her brother used to call her a creep, staring at other wolves like she was going to hunt them down and murder them. she shook her head, i don't need to think about Neko.

she took a step back and sat down, wrapping her tail neatly around her paws. tipping her head slightly to the right side. blackhawk, was quite handsome. she pushed the thought out of her mind. she didn't need to be thinking about males right now. she couldn't trust anyone anyway so why even think about it? she put on a smile," what brings you to the lake, blackhawk?" she let his name sit on her tongue. it was very strong, mysterious. she wanted to know more about him. she wanted him to trust her. the others usually did. but this one was different. she wanted to be able to trust him. she smirked, it was strange to her, but somehow funny.

"my mate and i have a den near here, i was just going for a stroll in the storm" blackhawk wasn't sure how much one usually tells other of a pack since this was his first in 3 years, being a loner he never had to worry about other wolves or even interacting with other dogs. the quick change in society was stressful for him and he spent much of his time trying to work it out, or calm down from working it out. "sorry if i scared you, theres just so many wolves around here i forget that i need to be alert. up north, the only animals that i have to worry about were bears but you can hear them a mile away and smell them two." he red eyes show no signs of anger or deciet and seemed more puppyish in a very forgein kind of way.
as blackhawk was talking, he started to move towards that lake to get a drink and to cool down. the hotter climate becoming uncomfortable with his thick alaskan undercoat. "is it alway this hot around here? yeah its prettier than just snow, but does there really need to be all this heat? how do you wolves stand it here!" he exclaimed as he waded into the lake to cooldown

aiyana snorted. mate, figures. she shook her head and looked at her paws. she blinked. maybe she should give up, you know. nothing ever seemed to go right for her. she laughed once when he apologized for scaring her. "no you didn't scare me. i just wasn't paying attention, which i should be more careful about."

she watched as he moved towards the lake, sticking her tongue out to the side and panting slightly. it was so hot. she blinked again and got up, walking behind him and stepping beside him in the water. "not always. it's summer so it's hot most of the time. but once fall and winter come it will be cold. yippie." she rolled her eyes. "you complain alot. enjoy it while you can, winter is horrible. i like summer. swimming, running, sun. winter is just... bleh." she laughed again then realized she just said something totally rude. "oh.. im sorry.. i didnt mean to be rude." she turned her yellow orbs onto the water, not looking at him.

he let his tongue fall out like yours was and it gave his usually serious features more of a smile and happiness that he should usually show. "its ok, it wasn't rude. winter here though is still warmer than the summer of my home, so im complaining year round." after a pause he pulled his tongue back in and spoke softer "i noticed you seemed angry when i mentioned my mate. im guessing that means you don't have one. im sorry if i made you mad by that, i hope we can still be friends. besides, your mate's probably out there somewhere, looking around just as much as you. one day you'll find him, don't worry." he was trying his best to be comforting, talking to people still seemed unusual and really took alot of effort. oh how he missed the quiet, barren landscape of alaska, he could see for miles and never had to worry of someone sneaking up on him is the silence.

[WHISPER;]

she laughed when he stuck his tongue out. "okay. why would you want to live somewhere cold? it's horrible in the winter for me here and it's warmer than your summer? are you insane?!" she meant it was a joke, so she laughed after, hoping he would catch on.

she looked down again when he started talking about mates. she frowned, feeling bad that he was apologizing about it. "oh... yeah i don't have one. and no you shouldn't be apologizing. that was rude of me. i am very happy you have found a mate. she is very lucky. and of course we can be friends." she looked at him and smiled. she nodded once when he said she would find him. one day she would. she just wanted to know when and who so she could stop worrying about it.

she studied him for a few moments. "you don't look very comfortable. you are used to being by yourself aren't you? this is all new to you?"

blackhawk looked down with her last question and hesitated "the reason why im here and not home is the same reason why this is a bit akward for me" he hesitated again, unsure of how she would respond "3 years ago, i did something that i shouldnt have. and for that i was banished. i lost my name, my rank, my clan, my family, and my friends. ive been on my own since then. its just a bit odd for me to go back to a pack. and its why im not of a higher rank than i am. i can't let myself get into that situation again." he started to walk out of the water at that point, scared you would be scared of me. "im a murderer aiyana... i murdered my pack mates and killed my first mate..." he layed down then curled up as the memories come flooding back in. "and i killed the entire neighboring pack as well.... i killed them all... all of thier blood is on me and it will never come off"

[WHISPER;]

"3 years ago, i did something that i shouldnt have. and for that i was banished. i lost my name, my rank, my clan, my family, and my friends. ive been on my own since then. its just a bit odd for me to go back to a pack. and its why im not of a higher rank than i am. i can't let myself get into that situation again. im a murderer aiyana... i murdered my pack mates and killed my first mate... and i killed the entire neighboring pack as well.... i killed them all... all of their blood is on me and it will never come off."

she looked at him, her yellow eyes blank. she blinked. she had wanted him to trust her. and now that he did he was telling her everything. she had never heard anything like this before. but for some reason she didn't care. yeah, he murdered other wolves. yeah, he murdered his mates. but he was telling her. he had a mate now, he came back to a pack. he was trying to be better. she smiled and looked at her paws then back at him, saying everything she had just thought. "you know... maybe you have murdered other wolves, maybe you did murder your mates. but you have a mate now, you came back to a pack and you are trying to be better, obviously. and you told me, a wolf you just met."

she smiled and nudged his shoulder with her nose, showing her friendly sympathetic side. she stood up and walked to the shore. "everything will get better. i promise. now. i caught a doe, would you like some?"

"it wont get better for the 15 of my comrades who i killed..." he mumbled, then sighed and stood up "sorry that ive been dumping all this on you." he paused again, then tried to change subjects "so how did you meet the pack, and what was your life like. i dont know anything about you other than your name is aiyana." the happiness back in his voice just like it used to be and shook his head at your question for food. "no, im ok. im not really hungry right now." to which, his stomach replied by growling. "um. ok, maybe just a little..." he said as he slowly walked over and started to akwardly eat the doe, trying to show some manners but is have a difficult time after 3 years without them.
after eating a good chunk of the doe, blackhawk backed up and sat down, letting you eat some as well and just watched you as you ate, studying your mannerisms so to have better manners himself.

she sighed. "you can't change the past. but you can guide your future." she laughed when his stomach growled right after he said he wasn't hungry. stepping back, she let him eat first. watching him as he awkwardly ate a large chunk. he stepped back and she walked forward, nudging the deer with her muzzle before ripping off one of it's legs. she chewed the meat slowly, letting the flavor seep into her tongue. her mouth watered. she finished it quickly and licked her jaws, removing the scraps of meat and blood.

"i haven't really met much of the pack. i kinda just ran and met the alpha and that's about it. i'm not around there much." she sighed again, under her breath this time. "well where to start... mother died giving birth to me and my brother, Neko. my father stuck around long enough to make sure one of us could take care of the other, which happened to be me. i raised Neko and myself and starved myself just to make sure that he would be healthy. well i got weaker and weaker while he got stronger. i fell very ill and he stayed till i got better then left, trying to find our father. i was alone for awhile, i saw Neko every once in a while but one time we got in a big fight and my father came. he and Neko argued and it turned violent. Neko killed him and then ran away and i haven't seen him since..." she waited for the questions. every time she told someone there were questions. do you wish Neko was here? do you miss your mother? your father? she licked her chest, smoothing a few light brown hairs.

Or speed up? blackhawk smiled, know there could be lots of questions to ask, but also knew that you've probably answered them all before. "sounds like you've have a pretty intresting life so far." he walked back over to the deer and tore off another piece, forgetting about trying to be nice about it and ate hungrily for a bit. when he finally finished and looked up at you, his maw was dripping blood, his normally gleaming white teeth were blood red and even his black fur had a red tinge to it. mixing with his red eyes, it gave him to look of a demon. " just think, it could have been worse. you could have died from the illness, instead of living. no matter how bad things get, it can always be worse." he let the blood continue to drip, not realizing it was there, or what i looked like. she smiled when he didn't ask questions. everyone else did. why didn't he? maybe he knew that she had answered every question possible. she nodded. "true." her yellow eyes followed him as he ripped another piece of the doe off and ate it, she could see the hunger in his eyes. she giggled when he looked up after finishing it and had blood dripping down his muzzle, his white teeth were bloody and his black fur had blood in it. to be honest she was kinda scared but she didn't show it. instead she flicked his muzzle with her tail," you got a lil something there."

she laid down beside the rocks, enjoying the shade they offered. she licked her paws and looked at Blackhawk. he was pretty cool. a good friend, she smiled at the thought. a friend... i have a friend.. that i can trust. she looked at the sun, it was slowly going down, the angle it was at was the worst, or so Aiyanna thought. right before it set it blinded you. at the perfect angle. she wanted it to be dark. she loved the night. she looked at Blackhawk again," thanks for sharing your story... and listening to mine. i don't have anyone to talk to.. so this was a big deal for me."

Or speed up? as she flicked him with her tail, blackhawk finally noticed the blood and heads off to the lake, slightly embarassed by how easily she picked out his mistakes and quickly washed off the blood. "sorry about that..." he said as he trotted back to where she was laying. after sitting down next to her and watching the sunset for a while, thinking about how annoying sunsets could be, he spoke his thoughts "i hate this sunset... not all sunsets, just this one. there's no clouds to blot out the sun, it just shines you in the eyes. the pretty ones are the ones filled with clouds, and the sun outlines all the clouds with out blinding you." he paused for a moment to kinda let the thought sink in "only thing is that these sunsets give the best nights.... i guess you cant have a perfect evening.... a beautiful sunset means a cloudly hot night, while a blinding sunset gives you a cool clear night filled with stars..." she laughed when he went to the lake to wash it off. "no it's fine. no need to apologize." she shifted over so he could lay in the shade as well, feeling his pelt brush against hers she wrinkled her nose slightly, she wasn't used to being close to other wolves. let alone males. she shook it off, she needed to get used to it. she was in a pack now. her eyes widened when he spoke exactly what she was thinking. she started laughing, hard. her rolled onto her back, showing her stomach and then flopped to the side. chuckling still she looked at him. "you just said everything i was thinking." she smoothed her chest fur and looked at him. "tonight is going to be amazing. it's going to be so beautiful." her yellow eyes twinkled at this thought. she blinked and laughed again, looking away. the sun was going down further, it was almost gone, the sky was orange and pink. she smiled and watched as it sunk completely. you couldn't see it but the colors were still there.
