She's just one of two point eight million people. The paperboy. The barista. The old woman in the apart-
ment next to yours. They're every day, average people, each one of them.
But what if they're not average? What if that guy on the subway could fly? What if that mother of three
masqueraded as a vigilante at night? What if that barista could do more than make a mean cup of coffee?
What if superheroes lived among us?
They do. In Chicago, 2010, crime is prevalent and someone's got to stop it. So there are heroes: the masked
vigilantes who sacrifice their own lives for the safety of others. But not everyone likes it. A lot of people think these
heroes do more bad than good. This city is at war, and it's nothing
