Dawn crept slowly over the land as a white, spotted male strolled leisurely across the cool sands. Cascading colors of pink, orange, and red seemed to set the whole desert on fire, a sight that left the dog silent with wonder. Already, his light coat started to darken slightly by wind-blown dust, but he took no notice. Gazing at the large, open sky above and the boundless land before him, he felt very small and insignificant like a single speck of stardust in the endless, starry skies or a solitary drop of water in the midst of the vast, turbulent ocean.
Squinting against the glare of the rising sun, the Dalmatian and Border collie mix spotted far off into the distance the very reason for his excursion into the flats this fine morning: Aregol City. He knew that behind the imposing five hundred foot high wall surrounding this everlasting symbol of Man's great fall from the seat of power, the flame of life still burned brightly, despite the innumerous deaths caused by the indiscriminating wrath of the virus.
Stopping and settling himself into a comfortable stance, he continued to gaze at the fortified metropolis, his golden brown eyes slowly becoming unfocused as recent memories engulfed him.

Tiny little paw steps tapped acrossed the ground, tip tapping little claws clicking. The she-foxes nose pointed slightly into the air, her jaws hanging slack her tongue lawling slightly. The little fox pranced along by herself, standing at only eight inches tall she truely was tiny, her two ears stood tall and pointed, bigger than her head themselves. Her long fluffy tail swayed in the heat as she strutted along. Tiny but bouncy and happy, though she might have only been a tiny fox she had a big heart.
Shaking her light sandy colored fur she continued on her way. Her ears pricked and listning for the sounds of any others. And her sensitive ears soon cought the sound of another, larger being straight ahead. Her foxy instincts kicked in and she ducked behind the next thing she saw, letting her ears swivel around and her nose pick up the brutes scent. She peaked her head up to see that male standing there. He hadn't seemed catch onto her yet.
Waiting for awhile she wondered if he was dangerous or friendly. She let herself relax and her curiosity grab ahold of her, slowly she stepped from behind her hiding place and took a deep breath. "Hello" she spoke clearly letting her voice ring in the air. She stood her ground but far enough away that she could easily take off and get away if he did turn out to be aggresive. She tensed a little, because he was much bigger than her.
