Taboo laughed in the water as Kaliska jumped in, declaring that fear itself feared her. Her thick fur was protected from the water by her outer coat, but the cool water felt great under the hot sun of the summer. She lapped up a bit of the refreshing liquid, and swam toward some ducks. She loved doing that. The water fowl flew away in fear, but seemed to forget about you if you sat still for a few moments, going into a never ending cycle of chase. She waded back to the bank, and shook her thick pelt, spraying everything around her with a large amount of water. She lied down under a nearby tree, reveling in the shade and watching Kaliska approaching her, shaking her own shorter pelt. She her breath was panting, partly from the heat, and partly from the exertion of the play. She yawned and rested her head on her forelegs, and she stared up at the sky. the wispy clouds drifted lazily across the bright blue sky, matching her mood. She didn't fall asleep fully, just about half way, so she was still conscience enough to hear Kal and be aware of her surroundings.

She sucked in a huge breath before closing her eyes, and ducking her head, soaking the top of her head with the water too, so her entire body was soaked. She popped back up, gasping slightly and shaking the water from her façade, before the coyote grinned, barking slightly as she watched Taboo swim towards the waterfowl, sending them flying. Kal twisted slightly, as she rolled onto her back, watching them, perched in the water like an otter might, before she rolled back over and swam to the shallow end of the lake, laying down in the wet soil, and letting the water lap over her, before soon Taboo too followed and shook of her thick pelt, moving to a shady spot under the tree.
Kal remained in the water, letting the sun dry the top part of her coat, before she stood, and followed Taboo, laying down near her, but not to close, as she rolled onto her back, her paws poised protectively over her stomach, her eyes on the sky, watching a few whispy clouds in the sky, Her voice was soft as she spoke, her tones careful, with a sort of longing to them, “Meh sister and I would look up at the sky,” She started, the word sky coming out like Skie, making the way a really long “i” sound. “She would claim she’d see stuff, up there, in the clouds. Ya’ll would fall over laughin’, hearing about her dragons and monsters… It was one of the few things we could do together with out getting’ in trouble with pa.” Kal sighed as she shook her head, the thoughts of her family hitting her hard, before she growled slightly and turned away from the sky, huddling more into herself. “Taboo, I don’t wanna family. I don’t wanna find out I’m pregnant. Family is a horrid thing to have, only bringin’ you hate and pain. I don’t wan’ that.” the coyote said, her thick, southern accent coming out softer as she sighed, falling silent, as she closed her eyes. What was she going to do?
Think the thoughts. "Talk the talk."
