Pack Rules
What Duke says, goes. If you fail to do as he has demanded, you shall be punished. Punishments include being bumped down a rank, exile, execution, being cut off from all resources the pack provides, and so forth. A punishment can be chosen by none other than Duke, or the beta’s if he suggests further. If you know of one disobeying any rules whatsoever and don’t do anything about it, you will also face consequences.
You must respect the ones ranked above you. If you are not respecting the ranks above you, you will be punished seeing fit from Duke, or the ones not being respected. A dog cannot be exiled as a punishment from this rule.
You may eat your portion of food, and only that. When the hunters bring back food, then ranks will be assigned a portion. A free-for-all is much too hectic, and therefore is forbidden. You must eat your share and only your share of meat each meal. If you are caught eating more than your worth, then you will be punished as thought necessary. Most will be sent out of the pack lands to fetch a rabbit or two to bring back, and if they fail, they will be re-captured and become a captive.
Enforce all rules. All members of the pack are encouraged to enforce all rules of Duke’s. Beta’s and guards have the right to bring pack members to Duke, though for a good reason. Other members are to alert the Guards, Assistants, and Beta’s.
Captives have no rights. If you are held captive, that means you basically have no rights, aside from the ones to survive. You will get the minimum amount of food, and will be disrespected by everyone within the pack. Female captives are free to be bred by Duke, though he will take their word into consideration. If other males within the pack wish to breed with a captive, he must take the topic up with Duke.
Getting a higher rank. Now, if a very low ranking dog in the pack wishes to reach a higher rank, he must display his respect towards his leader, in every way possible. Duke will always be paying attention to the lower ranking dogs, looking out for this. However, if one is an omega, they will have to put up a good fight, to get a better ranking. Captives are not allowed to challenge for a higher ranks. Only Duke can promote them.
Trespassers are forbidden. If you come across a trespasser, Duke encourages you to bring the dog in question to him, depending on the reason. However, if a traitor is found in the territory, all pack members are free to roughen him up, a little. Though, only if male. Duke prefers to keep females in good shape.
Puppies and/or females are not to be harmed. If Duke finds out someone is treating any of the heirs in the pack with disrespect, he will deal with them personally.
A little fighting between males is acceptable, but only to a certain degree. Duke understands the dominance issues most males have, and will put up with some minor arguments. However, positions cannot be fought for, and if a female or pup gets impacted by the fight, Duke will put it to an immediate end.
Do not question the alpha. If someone dares question Duke in any way, it will be considered disrespectful, and completely out of place. Only if he asks for ones opinion, are they allowed to criticize his thoughts.
