Another Rainy Day:. [Theirry & Varsha]

[atrb=background,http://i51.tinypic.com/fp3yhj.jpg] Theirry snuggled down into the warmth of fur and blankets after she fell asleep, and soon he was completely out of it, deep in sleep. --fade to mourning-- Theirrys eyes opened as dawn was beginging, it was gray and not very bright. Looking at the still sleeping form of Varsha he carefully stood and quietly covered her head with the blanket and bunched it to her side. slowly he left the pourch heading into the surrounding woods, he stretched himself and ran a little ways before coming to his favorite hunting area out here. Silently he waited, slowly and quietly stalking the area to listen for those faint animal sounds. He lifted his head to the sky to see the light changing to brighter pink and sunny. finally he heard the rustling of prey and lowered himself to the ground. Rocking on his haunches, he could tell it was a rabbit. He launched into the air coming down on its fat back and breaking it. He silenced the rabbit and put him under a shrub, before moving a little ways away to listen for more prey, circling around for about thirty minutes before it started again. This rabbit hopped infront of him not even noticing him, it was skinnier than the other one, and smaller too, but it would provide a meal for him. He jumped after the rabbit but it heard him and began to frantically hop away, he followed it easily and cought it quickly. Taking the dead rabbit back to his other catch he lifted them both in his mouth. Coming back up onto the pourch he dropped the rabbits with a thud infront of the sleeping mound that was Varsha. Smiling softly he lifted the blanket and pulled it off her head, poking her in the ribs with his nose and chuckling. "Time to eat my sleeping beauty" he said softly, lovingly. He pushed the larger rabbit towards her and grabbed the smaller one, sitting next to her to eat it.

[atrb=background,http://i51.tinypic.com/fp3yhj.jpg] Morning peeked over the horizon, but still Varsha did not stir. She was content in her sleep. As Theirry moved to get up, she didn't notice. She seemed totally oblivious to her surroundings. For once, she had never felt so safe and secure. A few moments later, after Theirry had hunted and came back, she felt the poke in her ribs. The poke in her ribs was shortly followed by a chuckle. 'Time to eat my sleeping beauty.' Upon hearing those words, her ears flicked a few times before her eyes slowly opened. She had heard the loving way he said the words. She blinked her eyes a few times, before looking at him. She hadn't even noticed the large rabbit infront of her yet. She seemed quite content to just watch Theirry. A small smile appeared on her face as she watched him eat his rabbit. Stretching, she moved to a sitting position and then glanced to the large rabbit. Licking her lips, she lowered her head and began to tear pieces off of the rabbit and chewed them, before quickly swallowing them. She didn't think she had ever felt this hungry before. After a few minutes, all that remained of the rabbit was it's bones. Quietly, she licked her lips clean and then glanced toward Theirry. "Morning, darling," she said softly, yet lovingly at the same time. She waited for him to finish his rabbit, before nuzzling his neck with the most affection that someone could express. ------------------------------------------------------------ Walks like this. His stomach settled from its hungry state to content and he smiled at her, going of the porch to a puddle and laping water from it. The cool water helping down his last bite of food, he scraped the bones off the porch and burried them. Stepping up onto the porch he lay down so his stomach could process the food and he could just relax, a content joyous smile hovering on his maw. "Looks like you sure enjoyed that rabbit" he said happily, glad to do something for her, he knew he'd probably be doing it alot, since after all she was pregnant with his babies, and a pregnant female couldnt hunt, nor should she try to hunt, damage could come to their children. There he went getting carried away in his thoughts again. He snapped back into attention and smiled at her.

The sun was a great ball of fire, though it was still coming up over the horizon. Her gaze soon shifted toward Theirry, as a smile appeared. She watched as he walked off of the porch and over to a puddle. Rising to her paws, she padded off of the porch, as well. Her head lowered as she neared the puddle. Tilting her head, she stared at her reflection for awhile. Without a word or thought, she allowed her tongue to fall out of her mouth, as she lapped up some of the water. Lifting her head once more, she glanced at him, as he made his way back onto the porch. Silently, she followed his movements, as she too got back onto the porch. She laid down beside him, just relaxing, rather happily. 'Looks like you sure enjoyed that rabbit.' He seemed to say rather happily. "I did enjoy it. Thank you for catching it for me," she replied, happily. Deep down, she felt sorry for the pregnant females that were alone with no one to help them hunt or anything. The sadness appeared in her eyes for a split second before quickly vanishing. When he smiled at her, she couldn't help but to smile back. "What would you like to do today, darling?" Later maybe we could find a den somewhere." he said suggestively. They did need a more permanent sleeping grounds in order to have their children, could keep puppies in this place, to easy to get into and out of. Theirry wouldn't take any chances of harm coming to his flesh and blood children. Even if he and Varsha didn't quite work out he would always be a part of his childrens lives. And he would always be there for Varsha. He was thinking of the options here, he could stay with her, and try to get over his fear of loosing them and commitment. Or he could not stay with her, but still be there for her and his children when they were born. He had until their birth to figure this out, and he wouldn't let Varsha know he was having doubts. He truely did love her, and he knew she truely loved him too, but things might not work out. He wanted them too, but his stomach was twisted with anxiety.He just didnt know what to do.

It sounds rather relaxing. And, of course, we'll need to find a den somewhere. Wouldn't want to have these pups out in the open, where danger lurks," she replied softly, with a smile. Her gaze drifted out towards their surroundings. The sun seemed to be higher in the sky, at the moment. She had a strange feeling that something was on Theirry's mind and possibly bothering him. Though, she wouldn't ask him about it. She would rather let him tell her on his own time. Her eyes closed for a mere couple of seconds, as she just relaxed next to him. Though, she opened them a few seconds later. She didn't seem to have a care in the world, at the moment. She was happy, content, and joyful with Theirry and knowing his unborn puppies were growing within her belly, at this very moment. Her ears flicked back and forth slightly, as she listened to the surroundings, incase any danger came passing through. ------------------------------------------------------------ Walks like this. He to was very happy, but also struggling with choices and wrestling anxiety. He watched her for a second more before turning his eyes to the sky and back to her. "We will take a walk in just a second. And a den site is much needed. We will sleep here until we find one, but lets think on it, we need a good one. One I can easily defend. So lets make the right choice in dens" he said, watching her with a small smile. Theirry was happy but weirded out sort of at the same time, he was having trouble adjusting. But he knew a few things for certain, he would never turn his back on her, nor his children and he would always keep them safe, always. Thats how he was. Just the type of Wolf he was. ((Ugh suckish sorry, and short too, grr sorry))

Does he regret doing that with me?[ Was the main thought that raced through her mind, causing her to feel a little on edge. She dearly hoped he didn't regret it, because she certainly didn't. At the same time that he turned his gaze back to her, she allowed her gaze to roam back to him. 'We will take a walk in just a second. And a den site is much needed. With those words, she saw the small smile upon his face. She knew he was right. They would need a den that he'd be able to easily defend. One that was safe and secure and wouldn't be bothered by strangers or other pack members. Nodding her head slightly at his words, she allowed his words to repeat theirselves in his head. "Of course. We will make the right decision on a den, I know we will," she replied, with the utmost certainty. She just had this feeling that they would find the most perfect den to raise their children. Though, she also had a slight feeling that something was amiss. Tilting her head slightly, she shook the second feeling from her mind, as she tried to think of what would happen in the future. ------------------------------------------------------------ Walks like this. "Come, we will walk and find a den" he said gently stepping down from the porch and waiting on her. Off into the forest they went, walking slowly and happily. -- fast forward -- Theirry's paws worked at the back of the dens dirt wall. The den was a small tunnel big enough for Theirry and varsha to get in and out, and the inside was just big enough for them both to lay and stand, though he worked the back of the cave to make a little space for Varhsha to have and feed their pups, keeping them safely in the very back of the warm tunnel. He pulled the moss he had pulled together from above their den into that part of the den, and pulled the blanket they had first ever slept under over the moss, as to make a nest for the puppies. When he was done he exited the den, his tongue lolling from his mouth. Using one paw he pushed the curtain of moss that had naturally been over the entrance back over it. A small smile on his muzzle. It was perfect for Varsha and their babies. "Varsha, come see. I've finished." he said happily, his tongue still lolling. It was hot work in the weather, but the den would keep them warm in the winter. And it would make his puppies easy to guard. It was also close to the cabins, but in the woods, far enough away they wouldnt be seen outside of it, wich was perfect. He was pleased with himself over the den and his very soon to be born puppies.

She seemed to be ever so happy, at this moment. She was with the one she loved the most. They were soon to be parents and she didn't think this moment could get any better, honestly. --Fast Forward a Week.-- Only a week had gone by, but yet, it had seemed like months. Varsha laid underneath a rather large tree, nearby. Of course, she didn't want Theirry to worry about her, so she stayed close by, just incase. Her tongue lolled out of her mouth, as she glanced around their surroundings. Off a little ways, she knew Theirry was busy constructing their den to make it perfect for them. She was glad that she had him around to help out. By this time, her stomach was practically huge. Quietly, her tail beat the air around her, as if trying to create a breeze for her. It was hot, but it was still a bit cool every now and then, when a lucky gust of air would blow by. Her panting never seemed to cease, as she continued to lay there. She loved the fact that she was pregnant and going to have Theirry's babies, but she didn't enjoy the fact that it made her more hot. At that thought, a smile appeared upon her lips. Though, her thoughts were soon broken, as she heard a voice calling. 'Varsha, come see. I've finished.' His words sounded so proud. She knew that it was a burden for him to have to do pretty much everything for her, including the den. After standing up carefully, she started padding toward Theirry and their new den. When she saw it, her face lit up. "It's lovely, Theirry," she commented happily. Her paws led her toward him, as she nuzzled his neck affectionately. Her tail swayed back and forth, still beating at the air. Her light gray eyes scanned over the entrance of the den and that was when it struck her. The pain that coursed through her form caused a whine to escape her vocals. Now, since this was her first litter, she didn't know that the pains were actually labour pains. Though, she quickly figured it out. Her gaze was almost frantic, as she looked at him. "Theirry.. the puppies.. they're coming," she said between breaths of air. With those words, she stepped past him and carefully nudged the moss aside, as her paws led her into her den. Once in the den, she made her way toward the area that she would have her puppies in. Another whine escaping her vocals, as more pain struck her. --Fast forward an hour or two.-- Time seemed to freeze, as she had been in labour. Though, once it was all over with, it seemed to be the most glorious day. Oh yes, she was tired, as she lay there. But, she lifted her head up high enough to clean the young ones. Three little boys, she thought happily. Her gaze moved toward the den entrance, as she watched it. His eyes widened a little and he cocked his head. "Varsha..." he was cut off by her words and his heart nearly stopped. But before it could actually do that it slammed into his chest harder than he'd ever felt his heart beat before. He was scared. Utterly frightend. He followed her in the den, trying to look calm and giving her soothing words while trying to keep her and himself calm. In his mind all he could think was, / oh god oh god oh crap oh god. Dont die, dont die on me./ he was frantic inside that head of his, scared of facing another loved ones death and another set of dead puppies. He tried his best to help her out, but really it was all a females process not a brutes. All he could do was nuzzle her neck and keep up the encouraging words. Trying not to let her see how frightend he was. He only hoped she couldnt head his frantic heart beating. He could hardly hear anything but it, accept her whines of pain wich worried him even more. 'slam slam slam slam' went his heart. He thoguht for a meer second it would come right out of his chest and flop at her feet. He kept an eye on her, drawing deep calming breaths the whole time. --fast forward an hour or two-- After the long difficult hot process of birthing the three beautiful males he left the den to get fresh air and food for Varsha. He was on his way back to the den when the wind carryed little pup sounds to his ears just outside, he couldnt help but grin. He was utterly happy she had made it throguh the proces and they had birthed three males. His little boys. He pushed the moss aside and left it open so the air could get in and cool Varsha down. He dropped th rabbit infront of Varsha and sat beside her, sticking his nose down to touch each pup. He stopped on the middle one, the one who looked to have both their traits. "Lets name him Rafe" he said softly smiling up at Varsha. "I love you Varsha, and I'm a very happy brute" he said with a chuckle.

Her tail curled rather protectively around her and the pups, as she heard the pawsteps at the entrance. Of course, she couldn't tell who it was, which was why she was being protective. When she felt the cool air enter the den, she welcomed it. It felt so good compared to a few moments ago. She watched as Theirry padded closer to her and dropped a rabbit infront of her. When he sat beside her, she moved her tail, as she noticed him touch his nose to each pup. When he stopped at the middle one, she looked questioningly at him. 'Let's name him Rafe.' She heard him say, nodding her head happily. She thought it was a wonderful name for the pup. 'I love you Varsha, and I'm a very happy brute.' His words entered her ears, as she heard him chuckle afterwards. "I think Rafe is a wonderful name for him," she admitted, honestly. Though, she was kind of at a loss as to what to name the other two. Looking from the pups to Theirry, she tried to think. "I love you too, Theirry. I'm glad you are very happy," she replied, happily. A smile appearing on her features, as she watched him. She was truly glad that he was happy. After all, who wouldn't be happy at this moment? Besides for some ruthless canine. Her gaze moved back to their pups, as her tongue slid across the head of the one nearest her head. Though, when she did lick him, he whimpered and snuggled closer to his siblings and his mother's belly. Just the sight of it caused Varsha to release a soft laugh. Her gaze moved back to the rabbit. "Thank you for the rabbit, darling," she commented. With those words, she tore pieces off of the rabbit, as best as she could. They would be beautiful pups when they were older, three male additions to the pack. Three male off spring of him and Varsha. He couldn't be happier than he was right now, here with her. The releif was overwhelming.Theirry seated himself beside her and the pups and just watched them. He had never really thought he would see the day where he had his own living litter of puppies. Pride welled up in his heart, and was clearly visible going hand in hand with the love gleaming in his eyes. He didnt think he could ever need anything else again, maybe. He was still nervous about this new life of settling down and loving someone but he thought maybe just maybe he could wrestle that fear. Hopefully he could lead a happy life with Varsha and his three sons. He only hoped he could make the four of them as happy as he himself was. Supporting four other wolves was a difficult task, but he would provide for his family. "Your welcome my dear. You should rest, I will stay awake and keep an eye on things." he said softly to her, knowing she had to be exhausted.

She noticed how he watched them, as if this moment would last forever. Her gaze looked into his eyes, noticing how the love he held within them gleamed. Though, it didn't take long before her gaze fell back upon their pups. They were so adorable right now, but she knew they would grow up to be beautiful pups. What was going on Theirry's mind, Varsha would never know. But, she hoped, just maybe, it was something good. A smile touched her lips, as she laid her head back down upon the makeshift bed. 'Your welcome my dear. You should rest, I will stay awake and keep an eye on things.' His words ringed in her ears, as she nodded her head. Oh yes, she was exhausted. Who wouldn't be after giving birth to three amazing pups? As she laid there, her eyes slowly began to drift close. Her breathing slowed, as she fell into a light sleep. She could feel everything that the pups did, as they continued to nurse. Their whimpers still ringing in her ears, as they drifted off to sleep, as well. Her tail curled protectively over the pups to keep them warm. ---A few hours laterrr.--- The pups had woken up a few minutes before Varsha. They, of course, had begun to nurse hungrily. As if, nothing else in the world mattered to them then eating. Varsha's eyes opened slowly, as she began to wake up. A small, yet happy sigh left her throat, as she glanced around. This was her new home. Here, with Theirry and their three pups. At that thought, a smile appeared on her face. Love could even be seen within those eyes of her. Oh yes, she was happy. She didn't think anyone could ever be as happy as her. But, she longed to be outside in the daylight. Though, she knew it couldn't happen until the pups were older. He had three boys to be proud of. He and Varsha had brought Three males into the pack. and in a year they would be able to go out and lead their own lives in their pack, or where ever else they decided to live. Though he hoped they would stay. A small smile played on his lips as he shook himself from his thoughts and stood. "Are you hungry m'love?" he said softly going to her and touching her with his nose before slowly touching each of the suckling pups in turn. They were small and fluffy, his children. He had a family now, and he couldn't get over the thought of it. He loved it. He loved them, each in turn. Especially Varsha. A wonderful wolf he had known since childhood. Someone he had come to realize was his one and only true love, the wolf he was meant to be with. He smiled at her adoringly as he waited for her to speak.
