Based after Breaking Dawn, the Cullen's had resided in Forks until Renesmee looked the age of an eighteen year old girl, seven years after Breaking Dawn took place. The family was asked by the Volturi themselves to relocate to a larger (but equally as cloudy) city. The family chose New Orleans, Louisiana.
The family has noticed that the dangers surrounding them are increasing. Human hunters that base their lives on killing vampires. Sam's rogue pack no longer bides by treaty rules and attacks when able to.Children of the Moon -- another breed of wolves in the purest form -- have also stumbled across the Cullen's. Some'are good, others... not so much. The Volturi's interest in the hybrid breed is terrifying for the weaker species. The powerful group of vampires having countless (painful) experiments lined up for them should they get their hands on one. The Volturi also has another powerful weapon despite still longing for Alice and Edward... A vampire with the ability to bring beings like Victoria, James and Laurent back from the dead.
